摘要： A plate for a heat exchanger has a longitudinal centerline, a reference plane parallel to the longitudinal centerline, and multiple corrugations provided in the plate that define flow channels through which fluid flows. The corrugations extend at an angle to the reference plane and at least some of the corrugations are intersected by the reference plane, wherein over at least a portion of a surface area of the plate the corrugations are arranged in sub-regions that have a longitudinal length and the corrugations of each sub region are at the same angle relative to the longitudinal centerline, and the corrugations of adjacent sub-regions are at different angles from each other, and wherein the corrugations in adjacent sub-regions meet at junctions and the junctions are not longitudinally aligned.

Each of the plurality of fins extends from a surface of the first parting sheet to a surface of the second parting sheet, and longitudinally between the first upstream end and the first downstream end. The plurality of fins are further laterally arranged to define a plurality of first fluid passages (22). Each of a subset of the plurality of fins includes an internal slot (40) positioned away from the first upstream end and the first downstream end.

The heat exchanger includes a manifold (400) arranged in fluid communication with each of the first flow paths (200) of the core (100). The manifold (400) and the core (100) are formed as one integral piece, said integral piece comprising a stack of laminate members (101, 201, 301, 501, 502) with said pin components (211) for the first flow paths (200) and said fin components (103) for the second flow paths (300). The plurality of laminate members (101, 201, 301, 501, 502) first, second and third manifold sections (202, 302, 102) that are shaped to form the manifold (400) when the plurality of laminate members (101, 201, 301, 501, 502) are stacked.

Alternativ kann zum Zickzackprofil an Stelle der Dreiecke eine "Hausform" eingesetzt werden; eine Spitzdach-Form oder Pultdach-Form. Die Profile können auch einen (in Strömungsrichtung gesehenen) zickzackförmigen Verlauf nehmen. Zur Verbesserung des Kondensatablaufs sind die Profilspitzen kürzer, wodurch diese nicht in den Bereich des ablaufenden Kondensats hineinragen.
