    • A double-acting shock absorber (1) with progressive-damping stroke limiting device, particularly for vehicle suspensions comprising: a cylinder; a piston (6), which is constituted by a shaft (7) which slidingly and hermetically passes through the upper head of the cylinder, a plate being fixed to the lower end of the shaft (7), which is partly crossed axially by a hole (8a), the plate being able to slide hermetically in the cylinder; a pin (23) with a frustum-shaped tip (23a), which is fixed to the lower head (4) of the cylinder and is suitable to enter the hole (8a) of the shaft (7) in order to close it partially or completely. The shock absorber is constituted by a single plate (21) and comprises oil passage ports, which are provided in the plate (21) and in the shaft (7) and respectively connect one another the two faces of the plate, the face of the plate (21) that is directed toward the upper head to the hole (8a) of the shaft (7), and the lower inlet of the hole of the shaft to a region of the shaft that lies above the plate (21), two deformable membranes (31,32) being associated with the upper and lower surfaces of the plate (21) and being suitable to selectively block the ports fully or partially during the extension or compression of the shock absorber.

    • Es ist die Aufgabe der Erfindung, ein hydraulisches Dämpfungselement zu schaffen, bei dem die Dämpfungswirkung in Zug- und Druckrichtung definiert unterschiedlich gestaltet werden kann, ohne daß eine Mehrzahl von parallel geschalteten Drosselöffnungen oder der Einsatz von Ventilen notwendig ist. Das Dämpfungselement, vor allem zur Dämpfung der Schwingungen eines Fahrzeug-Fahrwerkes mit zwei in ihrem Volumen veränderbaren Fluidräumen (1,2), die miteinander in Strömungsverbindung (3) stehen, wobei das Volumen wenigstens des einen Fluidraumes (1) durch die zu dämpfende Bewegung verändert wird und dadurch ein Überströmen des Fluids über die Strömungsverbindung (3) in den anderen Fluidraum stattfindet, die Strömungsverbindung als verschiebbare Drosselstelle (4) ausgebildet ist, kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß die beiden einander stirnseitig gegenüberliegenden Einlaufkanten (7a,7b) der Drosselstelle zur Erzielung unterschiedlicher Strömungswiderstände in den beiden Strömungsrichtungen verschieden ausgebildet sind.

The metering pin aperture (232) is defined by the inner diameter surface, and the metering pin aperture (232) is configured to receive a metering pin (224). A cross-sectional area of the percolation aperture (234) is less than that of a metering area defined between the inner diameter surface and the metering pin (224). The percolation aperture (234) extends from the first axially facing surface to the second axially facing surface. The first chamber is located opposite the orifice plate from the second chamber. The percolation aperture (250) is configured to allow a gas to move from the first chamber to the second chamber in response to the shock strut moving from a retracted position to a deployed position and further comprising a percolation tube (250) extending from the percolation aperture (234).
