摘要： A power tool including a power tool body, a rotatable driven member being operable for releasably gripping a working element and having a front end and a rear end, the driven member extending from the rear end, located proximally and connected to the power tool body, and terminating at the front end. The power tool has a drive mode in which rotation of the driven member drives the working element relative to the power tool body and an adjustment mode in which rotation of the driven member causes the driven member to either grip the working element or release the working element or both. The power tool also includes a guard extending over the driven member from the power tool body and terminating adjacent to the front end of the driven member, wherein at least in the power tool drive mode the front end of driven member does not extend beyond the guard. In another aspect the guard has a surface for gripping the power tool between the front end of the driven member and the power tool body.

摘要： A high temperature bolting system (16) for clamping steam turbine housings (10) while operating at a temperature of 800 to 1200 degrees F. An elongated fastener shank (20) has a similar coefficient of thermal expansion as the housings sections (12, 14). The shank has a tensile strength several times greater than the housing to maintain a clamping force during thermal excursions, and a much higher creep strength than the clamped parts. A stress generating flange (28) is provided with jackbolts (34) to establish the clamping load at room temperature. A threaded sleeve (54) is interposed between the threads at the end of the shank and the threads of the housing so that the housing threads have a sufficiently large area for withstanding the clamping load. A flanged support ring (64) is mounted at a bolt hole in the flange to support a load bearing area when retrofitting existing housings.

摘要： A fastening bolt fastens flanges between a bolt head and a nut attached on the threaded portion of the shaft via spherical washers. The fastening bolt has a cavity formed within the shaft. By application of pressure in the cavity with a hydraulic fluid supplied through a hydraulic pressure port in a plug, the shaft is extended and the fastening bolt becomes unfastened condition. In the unfastened condition, a gap is created between flange and nut, and the nut and the fastening bolt are free to rotate each other, therefore, the nut can be removed easily by hand from the fastening bolt, even the bolt is large in size. The fastening force is adjustable by the width of the gap before releasing hydraulic pressure in the cavity. By releasing hydraulic pressure in the cavity, the fastened condition is obtained. Conversion between fastened condition and unfastened condition can be made quickly and easily.
