摘要： A process for the recovery of ethane, ethylene, propane, propylene, and heavier hydrocarbon components from a hydrocarbon gas stream Is disclosed. The stream is cooled and divided into first and second streams. The first stream is further cooled to condense substantially all of it and is thereafter expanded to the fractionation tower pressure, heated, and supplied to the fractionation tower at an upper mid-column feed position. The second stream is expanded to the tower pressure and is then supplied to the column at a mid-column feed position. A distillation vapor stream is withdrawn from the column above the feed point of the second stream and is then directed into heat exchange relation with the expanded cooled first stream and the tower overhead vapor stream to cool the distillation vapor stream and condense at least a part of it, forming a condensed stream.

摘要： A system for removing acid gases from a raw gas stream is provided. The system includes a cryogenic distillation tower. The cryogenic distillation tower has a controlled freezing zone that receives a cold liquid spray comprised primarily of methane. The tower receives and then separates the raw gas stream into an overhead methane gas stream and a substantially solid material comprised of carbon dioxide. The system includes a collector tray below the controlled freezing zone. The collector tray receives the substantially solid material as it is precipitated in the controlled freezing zone. The system also has a filter. The filter receives the substantially solid material and then separates it into a solid material comprised primarily of carbon dioxide, and a liquid material comprising methane. The solid material may be warmed as a liquid and sold, while the liquid material is returned to the cryogenic distillation tower.

The side portion is passed to an extraction unit (200) where an ethane-enriched stream is extracted from the side portion, which ethane-enriched stream contains a higher relative amount of ethane than the side portion. the ethane-enriched stream is passed to a storage tank where it forms an accumulated amount of the ethane-enriched stream which is stored for subsequent use as a refrigerant fluid (150) in the liquefaction system.

摘要： A process and an apparatus are disclosed for the recovery of heavier hydrocarbon components from a hydrocarbon gas stream in a compact processing assembly. The gas stream is cooled, condensed and expanded to lower pressure and supplied as a feed to an absorbing means inside the processing assembly. A distillation liquid stream is collected from the absorbing means and directed into a heat and mass transfer means inside the processing assembly strip out its volatile components while cooling the gas stream. Distillation streams are collected from heat and mass transfer means and cooled sufficiently to at least partially condense it, forming a residual vapor stream and a condensed stream. The quantities and temperatures of the feeds are at a temperature whereby the major portions of the desired components are recovered in the stripped distillation liquid stream.

摘要： The invention provides a process and apparatus for the separation of nitrogen from a gaseous feed comprising a mixture of hydrocarbons and nitrogen gas, the process comprising the steps of: (i) cooling and at least partially condensing the gaseous feed; (ii) feeding the cooled and at least partially condensed feed from step (i) to a first fractionation to produce an overhead vapour stream having an enriched nitrogen content and a condensed product having a reduced nitrogen content which is subjected to a second fractionation, which comprises reboil, at a lower pressure than the first fractionation; (iii) partially condensing the overhead vapour stream, and separating to provide a liquid stream, which is used to provide reflux to the first fractionation, and a separated vapour stream, which is condensed to provide reflux to the second fractionation; and (iv) sub-cooling the condensed product of the first fractionation and dividing the resulting sub-cooled product into at least two streams: a first stream being expanded and fed to the second fractionation, and a second stream being expanded and reheated in heat exchange with the separated vapour stream from step (ii) before being fed to the second fractionation; (v) removing a hydrocarbon product stream low in nitrogen from the second fractionation; and (vi) removing a nitrogen rich stream from the second fractionation.

摘要： The disclosed invention relates to a miniplant with a distillation process for separating two or more components having different volatilities from a liquid mixture containing the components. The process employs microchannel technology for effecting the distillation and is particularly suitable for conducting difficult separations, such as the separation of ethane from ethylene, wherein the individual components are characterized by having volatilities that are very close to one another. The process involves a microchannel distillation assembly which comprises at least one microchannel distillation unit with a height of up to about 3 meters, whereby the microchannel distillation unit comprises a plurality of microchannel distillation sections each having a height of up to 1000 mm. The process further involves to treat the distillate product which is formed in a first microchannel distillation unit, in another microchannel distillation unit and to treat the bottoms product which formed in the first microchannel distillation unit, in another microchannel distillation unit.
