摘要： Novel conformable adhesive tapes consisting essentially of: (1) a water-impermeable backing layer from about 1 to 3 mils thick; (2) a flame-retardant, evenly tearable synthetic fibre cloth or scrim; (3) a flame-retardant adhesive layer, preferably a rubber-based adhesive; and (4) a thin tie coat layer between the backing and the scrim which, when applied as a molten mass, at least partially fills the interstices between the fibres of the scrim so as to provide surface contact with the underlying adhesive layer, the tie coat providing a strong bond at both the tie coat/backing interface and the tie coat/scrim and adhesive interfaces, thereby providing a laminar product possessing the desired anchorage and structural stability and integrity.
The tape is particularly useful in wrapping irregular surfaces, e.g. as a wire harness wrap, where conformability is essential to good adhesive contact.

摘要： Disclosed are removable pressure sensitive adhesive compositions (PSAs) useful with facestocks and/or packaging labels designed to be removed in the recycling of polymeric packaging. The PSAs of the invention include (a) at least one monomer which may undergo free radical polymerization and whose homopolymer has a glass transition temperature of less than or equal to 10° C., (b) at least one mono-olefinically unsaturated monomer having aldehyde or ketone functionality, and (c) an effective amount of at least one polyhydrazide crosslinker having hydrazine functionality. The PSA composition of the invention exhibits a peel adhesion value of between about 0.4 lbs/in (70 N/m) and about 4 lbs/in (700 N/m), and the percent film remaining on the polymeric packaging after a sink-float testing is 0% to about 8%.

摘要： Lamination adhesives including an aqueous dispersion having a mixture of a polyamide and an ethylene acrylic acid copolymer are provided for use on a variety of substrates. In various embodiments, the aqueous dispersion is substantially free of plasticizers and non-aqueous organic solvents. Also provided is a method of forming a laminate adhesion between two substrates. The disclosure also describes a laminate structure comprising first and second substrates laminated together by the lamination adhesive, the lamination adhesive including a mixture of a polyamide and a copolymer of ethylene and acrylic acid.
