摘要： A process and apparatus for sublimating printed images onto two or more products substantially simultaneously are disclosed. Software components are configured to receive input of a desired number of products to sublimate, and then determine a spatial arrangement of the printed images on transfer media to sublimate the desired number of products substantially simultaneously. The apparatus is configured to print the images onto the media according to the spatial arrangement, then position the media onto a substrate. The products are automatically placed on the media proximate to their corresponding printed images. The apparatus manipulates the media to substantially surround the products and places at least one image onto each side of each product to be sublimated. One or more heating platens engage the media to sublimate the images. The heating platens are configured, using a control, to sublimate multiple products substantially simultaneously in a single thermal cycle.

摘要： A procedure for decoration by sublimation of various objects and in particular of rusticated metal sheet comprises the steps of heating the object to a first temperature lower than that of sublimation of the sublimable inks used, positioning on the object surface to be decorated a sheet with the sublimable inks, creating a vacuum between the sheet and the object to cause adherence of the sheet to the surface of the object, and then completion of heating to reach the sublimation temperature of the inks and transfer of the decoration to the surface of the object. In particular, the sheet is thermoformable at the first temperature to adapt itself better to the object before reaching the sublimation temperature. There is also described equipment (10, 110) with a work zone (14, 114) surrounded by a frame (16, 116) bearing the sheet for covering the object and surmounted by heating lamps (20, 120).

摘要： This invention relates to a method and apparatus for producing a temporary plaque comprising a two part body, namely a flexible sheet (21) having indicia printed on one face thereof and an adhesive coating on the opposite face thereof, and a rigid mounting plate (19). A template containing information to be printed on a plaque may be printed onto a vinyl flexible sheet using a facsimile machine or a personal computer with associated printer. The vinyl sheet is then attached to the mounting plate by passing the flexible sheet and the mounting plate through a temporary plaque making apparatus (1). A series of resiliently deformable flaps (11, 13) act to smooth the flexible sheet out over the rigid mounting plate. The resultant temporary plaque is ideal for mounting on coffins or temporary grave markings.
