The stretchable porous film of the present invention includes voids in a surface thereof, in which: the stretchable porous film has an air permeability measured with an Oken-type air permeability meter of less than 99, 999 sec/100 cc; the stretchable porous film has such an extending direction that an air permeability measured with the Oken-type air permeability meter in a state in which the stretchable porous film is extended by 100% becomes less than 60,000 sec/100 cc; and the stretchable porous film has such a pulling direction that when, in a hysteresis test, the stretchable porous film is pulled from a width of 20 mm and an inter-chuck distance of 30 mm to an inter-chuck distance of 60 mm at a pulling speed of 50 mm/min and held for 1 minute, and then the pulling of the inter-chuck distance is released, a residual strain becomes 10 mm or less.

The nanofiber webs can be used as a barrier, wipe, absorbent material, and other uses. The nanofibers, having a diameter of less than 1 micron, must comprise a significant number of the fibers in at least one nonofiber layer of the nonwoven web. The nonwoven web may have a hydrohead to basis weight ratio of greater than about 10 mbar/gsm. The nanofibers may be produced from a melt film fibrillation process.

摘要： The invention relates to an improved intermediate absorbent structure with an integrated air permeable fluid barrier, said structure intended to be included inside at least one external layer in the finished absorbent article and intended to eliminate a need for a secondary fluid barrier between the absorbent core and the external layer. Said structure is manufactured in the form of a continuous web that can be converted into disposable absorbent articles. The invention comprises (a) an upper layer that is liquid permeable, (b) a lower layer with a hydrohead greater than 8 cm and an air permeability less than 1000 m/s at 196 Pa, and (c) an intermediate layer of absorbent material dispersed between the upper layer and the lower layer. Preferred embodiments include intermediate structures where the lower layer comprises a composite of fine fibers and continuous filaments.
