摘要： A dental implant device has an implant portion for being placed in a bore in bone. The implant portion has a coronal end portion and a porous metal portion. A metal coupling has a coronal end configured for connection to a denture support piece. The coupling also has an apical end integrally formed with the coronal end and engaging the porous metal portion. In one form, the coupling is attached to the porous metal portion in a threaded connection so that the coupling is removable from the porous portion without significantly damaging the porous metal portion sufficiently to re-engage another metal coupling.

摘要： The invention relates to an angled abutment for a dental-prosthetic arrangement, in which the abutment is divided into a first sub-component and a second sub-component, wherein the first sub-component can be fixed by means of a fixing screw to an implant and has a tool opening through which a tool is able to engage to reach the screw head of the fixing screw. After the first sub-component has been fixed to an implant, the second sub-component can be connected to the first sub-component, preferably via a screwed connection, and at the same time completely covers the tool opening of the first sub-component. A retaining structure facing away from the first sub-component is formed on the second sub-component and interacts with a counter-retaining structure on a prosthesis to provide a releasable connection, which can be produced without tools, between the abutment and the prosthesis.

摘要： A dental implant system comprises a base member that is adapted to be embedded within a patient's jawbone at a treatment site. The base member has a generally flat top side defining an outer periphery, a bottom side, and a central opening. At least one recess is included in the top side for receiving an alignment pin. The system further includes an implant screw that comprises a head and a threaded end. The threaded end is adapted to pass through the central opening of the base member and into the patient's jawbone. Also, the head is adapted to be seated within the central opening of the base member after the threaded end is screwed into the patient's jawbone. 摘要： Dental retention systems which facilitate the adjustment or removal of an oral appliance, e.g., a crown or bridge, from a reconfigurable abutment assembly are described. The adjustable abutment assembly may be secured to an anchoring implant bored into the bones within the mouth. The abutment assembly has a projecting abutment portion with one or more shape memory alloy compression plates or elements extending along the projecting abutment portion. Each of the plates has a length with one or more straightened portions and with at least one curved or arcuate portion. Energy may be applied to the elements such that the arcuate portion self-flattens to allow for the oral appliance to be placed thereupon while removal of the energy allows the elements to reconfigure into its curved configuration thereby locking the oral appliance to the abutment. Removal of the oral appliance may be effected by reapplication of energy to the elements.
