    • The invention relates to a method of connecting a first floating structure (1, 16, 25, 41) to the seabed, comprising the steps of: providing a second floating structure (2, 18, 26, 40), anchored to first and second anchoring points (6, 7; 22, 23; 32, 33; 47) respectively on the sea bed via at least two anchor lines (4, 5; 19, 20; 30, 31; 43, 45), attaching the second floating structure to the first structure via a pulling device (13, 24, 35, 46), on the side of the first anchor line, displacing the first floating structure (1, 16, 25, 41) away from the second anchoring point (7; 22, 33, 47) towards the first anchoring point (6, 23, 32), disconnecting the first anchor line (4, 20, 30, 45) from the second floating structure (2, 18, 26, 40) while maintaining a pulling force on the second anchor line (5, 19, 31, 43) via the pulling device, and attaching the first anchor line (4, 20, 30, 45) to the first floating structure (1, 16, 25, 41). By interconnecting a temporary buoy to the vessel to be anchored via a tension member, the anchor lines of the buoy and the vessel can remain under tension at all times whereby damage to the anchor lines is prevented. The timepath of fabrication and installation of the risers and the vessel, such as a FPSO, is made more flexible and less critical terms of first oil and contingencies and the installation costs can be reduced.

    • The invention relates to a fluid transfer system, in particular for LNG in which an articulated vertical and horizontal mooring arm are suspended from a support on the processing vessel. Independently moveable ducts, for instance cryogenic hard piping are placed parallel to the mooring arms such that a transfer system is obtained in which is the mooring forces are insulated from the fluid transfer line with which rapid connection and disconnection is possible and which provides a large yaw resistance.     • The invention relates to a vessel (1) comprising a riser and/or tendon (3,4) tensioning construction. A connector, such as an arm or deck structure, is suspended from cables (12,13) or pivot arms on the vessel. The connector carries two or more risers and/or tendons (3,4) extending from a subsea structure to above water level. The free end of the cables (12,13) or pivot arms is attached to a weight (16,17) for exerting a tensioning force on the riser which is substantially decoupled from pitch, roll and heave motions of the vessel. One embodiment of the vessel according to the invention is characterized in that the free end of the tensioning member extends outside the hull of the vessel or in a well in the vessel such as to be located below water level. Hereby the movements of the weight upon pitch, roll or heave motions of the vessel are limited and additional space on the vessel is made available for production or processing equipment. In one embodiment the connector is carried by cables and sheaves (19,20) that are supported on two spaced apart mounting arms (21,22) above deck level (24). Weight guiding elements may be provided on the vessel or on the seabed or may be formed by the risers themselves for preventing lateral movement of the weights and preventing damage to the risers. Other embodiments comprise flexible lines as a tensioning member connected to the seabed. To further reduce movements of the weights, the cables or pivot arms can be attached to the connector at the side of the centre line of the vessel, opposite to the side of the tensioning weight.

    • The invention relates to a vessel (1) comprising a riser and/or tendon tensioning construction.     • The invention relates to an anchoring system comprising a vessel (1) and one or more anchor lines (11, 12) extending from a first anchor (13, 15) to a pulling device (22, 23) on the vessel and from there on to a second anchor (14, 16). The anchor line may extend transversely to the length direction of the vessel (1), or may extend parallel to length direction of the vessel, offset from the longitudinal or transverse centrelines. The anchoring system of the present invention provides an active semi-weathervaning capability whereby heave and roll motions may be significantly reduced. Accurate station keeping may be achieved with a relatively small number of pulling devices, the pulling force of which can be relatively small.
