摘要： The present invention relates to sieve plates made of polymeric material suitable for use in distillation columns. The sieve plate of polymeric material comprises:

(a) a circular base provided with

(i) a central axial aperture for receiving a shaft,
(ii) an additional aperture for receiving a tubular member, and
(iii) perforations of uniform average diameter which represent in total a free area of between 3 and 20%,

(b) a flexible, flared-lip around the circumference of the base to form a sealing contact with the inner walls of a column, and
(c) means for retaining the sieve plate on a shaft. The sieve plate affords great flexibility because the number of plates and the spacing between the plates in a column can be adjusted as desired and the plates can be mass produced.

摘要： The present invention relates to a process for producing aromatic hydrocarbons from a hydrocarbon feedstock rich in C 2 hydrocarbons. In particular it is a process for producing aromatic hydrocarbons comprising bringing into contact at a temperature between 580°C and 750°C a hydrocarbon feedstock containing at least 70% by weight of C 2 hydrocarbons with a catalyst composition comprising an aluminosilicate having gallium deposited thereon and/or an aluminosilicate in which cations have been exchanged with gallium ions, said aluminosilicates containing silica to alumina in a molar ratio of at least 5:1. The process affords a one-step method of upgrading C 2 feedstock into aromatics.

Such loss of activity in long term use can only be restored by subjecting the system to a sequence of oxidation and reduction treatments. The isomeric mixture of mono-alkyl phenols, which may contain in addition unmodified phenol, is derived by alkylating phenol with an olefin and subsequently isomerising the crude alkylate to improve the meta-isomer content thereof. Resins produced using the phenolic reactant as above can be used for producing laminates which have a good balance of physical properties associated normally with those required in industrial laminates.

The product is particularly suitable for removing rhodium from solutions obtained from rhodium catalysed reactions in which a carboxylic acid, an anhydride, an ester, an alcohol or an ether is produced.
