摘要： A method of preparing items to be mailed, in which periodically at least one main document is inserted into an envelope by means of a mail preparation system comprising an inserter station. By means of a printer a printing is printed on an envelope, which printing corresponds to a given main document. In accordance with the invention the printed envelope is fed from the printer to the inserter station, where the given main document is inserted into the printed envelope that corresponds to that main document.
Furthermore a system for preparing items to be mailed is disclosed in which periodically a main document is inserted into an envelope. The system comprises a printer, an envelope supply path and an inserter station connecting thereto. In accordance with the invention the printer (6) is connected to the envelope supply path (5), in such a way that the envelopes can be fed from the printer (6) along the envelope supply path (5) to the inserter station (2).

摘要： Sheet feeder comprising a holder (1, 41, 81, 121) with a guide (2-5, 42-44, 82, 83, 122-125) for guiding a stack of sheets and with an abutment structure (7, 47, 87, 127) which defines an abutment plane (8, 48, 88, 178) for keeping a stack of sheets in a position with an outer sheet positioned against the abutment plane. The abutment structure is provided with a slit (10, 50, 90, 130, 180) for allowing a sheet or a set of sheets to pass therethrough, which slit is movable relative to the guide along the abutment plane, with a directional component transverse to the slit for peeling outer sheets abutting against the abutment structure off a stack of sheets in the holder. Further, a method for separating sheets from a stack is described. Because sheets are peeled off a stack without sliding relative to each other, they can be separated without hindrance due to friction between them.
