    • The invention disclosed relates to methods and apparatuses to trim current limit (I p ) and frequency (f) to maintain a constant maximum power. In one aspect of the invention, a power supply regulator (321) having a peak current limit detection threshold and an operating frequency is disclosed. The peak current limit threshold or the operating frequency are adjusted specifically to maintain the 1 p m f n product substantially constant from one power supply controller to another where m is substantially equal to 2 and n is substantially equal to 1. In another aspect of the invention, the power supply regulator has a control circuit having a control threshold current.

    • The invention relates to a mounting base (16, 35,70,78,83) for use in electric vehicles, for attaching three or more DC/DC converter units (17-22,72,73,87,88). The mounting base comprises:
      - three or more mounting area's (35-37, 56, 66) each with a mechanical connector member (38,39,74,75) for attaching to a complementary mechanical connector member on the converter units, and an electrical connector (40,41) for attaching to a complementary electrical connector on the converter units,
      - an electrical conductor (42,43) attached to the electrical connectors (40,41) in each mounting area, and attached to a main connector (45) on the mounting base, for connecting to a HV connector of a main HV supply (15),
      - a cooling channel (47,71) extending in heat conducting contact with the mounting areas,
      for at least two mounting area a switching member (50,51) on the mounting base for connecting with a first terminal to an output of the converter unit and having a second terminal (59,55) for connecting to a secondary electric unit.
      The mounting base according to the invention provides redundancy, is easily scalable does away with the need for a 12 V board net, fuses and distribution boxes.
