    • Control commands for switching a paper charging/discharging tray and printing commands for printing out are outputted from a print server, and these commands are sequentially stored into a buffer regardless of the state of the printing mechanism. When the printing commands are sent to the printing mechanism, the printing mechanism picks up image data designated by the printing commands from image data and prints out. A timing control unit holds control commands when the printing mechanism is printing out. When printing is completed, the timing control unit outputs the control commands to the printing mechanism. Further, the timing control unit holds printing commands when the printing mechanism is switching the paper charging/discharging tray. After switching the paper charging/discharging tray, the timing control unit outputs the printing commands to the printing mechanism.
