摘要： An apparatus for performing a fluid-solids contacting process comprises (a) a fixed bed of a particulate material which is retained in a fluid-solids contacting zone (49) and which is divided into a number of adjacent sub-beds (A-X); (b) at least two inlet main process stream conduits (1,4) and at least two outlet main process stream conduits (2, 3); (c) a first tier of multi-port valves (5, 24) comprising separate sets of valves (5-9,10-14,15-19,20-24) for and in communication with each of the inlet and outlet process stream conduits (1-4), each set of valves of the first tier being arranged such that each but the last valve (5-8,10-13,15-18, 20-23) of the set has one outlet in communication with a hereinafter characterized downstream second tier of multi-port valves (25-36) and one outlet in communication with another valve of the same set, with the last valve 19, 14, 19, 24) of the set having two outlets in communication with valves of two diferent sets of valves of said hereinafter characterized second tier of valves (25-36); (d) a second tier of multi-port valves (25-36 having a plurality of sets of valves (25-26, 27-28, 29-30, 31-32, 33-34, 35-36) comprising two multi-port valves arranged in parallel such that each valve of the same set has an outlet in communication with each of at least two conduits leading to a hereinafter characterized third tier of multi-port valves (37-48); and (e) a third tier of multi-port valves (37-48) each having at least two outlets which are in communication with the fluid-solids contacting zone (49) at points between sub-beds (A-X) of the contacting zone. The apparatus is useful in simulating the counter-current flow of several fluid streams through a bed of solid contact material such as a selective adsorbent.

摘要： The essential feature of the process according to the invention lies in that solid crystalline matters, respectively precipitates are gained from the solution by means of chemical reactions, in such a manner, that at least one of the components, the ions, forming the precipitate being slightly soluble in the liquid medium or inducing respectively promoting the chemical reaction between the compounds being present in the solution, is introduced into the system bound to the ion-exchange material, while this material serving as an ion-exchange auxiliary phase, is brought into contact with the solution containing the other component(s) forming the precipitate, or the ion-exchange materials containing individually the components forming the precipitate are brought together in a liquid medium and by the partial recirculation and/or by bringing repeatedly into contact with the ion-exchange auxiliary phase and the solution, the grain size of the precipitate can be increased, simultaneously filtrability may also be improved. The essence of the equipment being suitable for the realization of the process according to the invention lies in, that within the apparatus-body spaces are formed by means of partitions lying perpendicularly to the material stream, in the bottom there are the apertures interconnecting said spaces, while in the upper third of the partitions studs -protruding into the confining space and being connected to gas - or air distributing organs - are arranged; in the bottom of the single spaces means for distributing the gas or air are to be found; further on, the equipment is provided with an aerolift with a passage opening leading to the last space of the apparatus; the apparatus is futhermore provided with studs for the discharge of the material and outlets for the gas and air. The advantage of the invention lies in, that precipitates with an increased grain size, tending to a spontaneous flocculation may be obtained, simultaneously the purity of the precipitates formed is far higher, than that of the precipitates having been gained in course of usual processes.

Laminar flow of resin can be achieved, and bulk movement of the whole resin bed simultaneously can be avoided.

The liquid discharged from the second ion exchange device (50) is returned to a second position which is a preceding stage of the pervaporation device (30).
