    • It is disclosed a method for reducing the frame error rate on a link between a first and second unit of a node of a wireless packet-switched communication network. The first and second units comprise a first and second interfaces, respectively. The first and second interfaces are located at a medium access control layer. The method comprises, at the first interface, associating a sequence number to a frame and transmitting the frame and sequence number over the link to the second interface. The sequence number is indicative of a position of the frame in a sequence of frames transmitted over the link. Further, the method comprises, at the second interface, receiving the frame and reading the sequence number, which is used for determining whether a frame is missing from the sequence of frames. In the affirmative, it is requested to the first interface the retransmission of the missing frame.
