The disclosure relates to an apparatus including a framework (11); a generally vertical ladder (12a, 12b) secured to the framework; and a goods hoist (20) secured to the framework in such a way that the platform (22a, 22b) of the goods hoist (20) may be manoeuvred to a plurality of locations adjacent the ladder (12a, 12b). The ladder (12a, 12b) is moveable laterally on the framework to enable the platform (22a, 22b) of the goods hoist to access any position within the envelope defined by the framework (11).

    • The disclosure relates to an apparatus for escalading, comprising:

      at least a first, generally upwardly extending frame member;
      an operator support means (18) secured to the first frame member and moveable in a generally vertical direction;
