摘要： A vacuum seal lid for turning existing containers including plate, bowl, pan and even cutting board into a vacuum storage container comprises a top plate having an opening, a sidewall, sealing means for preserving vacuum, and a knob adapted to be at a first position in which it is above the opening to facilitate evacuation and handling, a second position in which it is at least partly below the opening to facilitate stacking and storage and a third position between the first and second positions in which the vacuum is released. The top plate may further comprise a first plate in which the opening is located and a second plate having an elastic membrane and a smooth lower surface constituting part of the sealing means for sealing containers smaller than the lid. The sealing means also comprises a sealing membrane located below the bottom surface or on the outer surface of the sidewall for sealing containers larger than the lid. To improve the seal, the sealing membrane is separable or apart from the bottom or outer surface of the sidewall. To improve the seal further, at least part of the sealing membrane is sloped at an angle relative to a horizontal plane. The knob has a knob head, a valve opening, and a valve sealer adapted to clean the valve opening by moving the knob head to improve the reliability of the lid.

Die Randbordierung 6 weist einen Sicherungsabschnitt 12 auf, der einen Endabschnitt 30 der Bördelung 24 des Deckels 8 von unten beidseitig umschließt. Der Endabschnitt 30 der Bördelung 24 wird durch den Sicherungsabschnitt 12 insbesondere vor äußeren mechanischen Belastungen durch Schlag oder Stoß geschützt. Der Endabschnitt 30 der Bördelung 24 kann somit nicht durch eine seitliche oder nach oben gerichtete Belastung aus seiner die Randbordierung 6 hintergreifenden Stellung gebracht werden, so daß eine hohe Deckeldichtigkeit und Transportsicherheit gewährleistet ist.

摘要： A thermoformed dual-compartment flexible package and method for storing and dispensing the components of a polymerizable system such as the base and catalyst portions of an addition cured dental impression material. Mutually reactive constituents are isolated during storage. A first embodiment of the package includes two thermoplastic cups each having an open mouth circumscribed by an annular groove, separated by a slotted aperture. The package further includes a thermoformed flexible closure having a central projection between two annular projections. Two seals are formed by engaging the annular projections within the grooves. A second embodiment includes two thermoplastic cups separated by a slotted aperture, with each cup having an open mouth from whose rim depends an outwardly canted wall terminating at a recessed lip. The package further includes a thermoformed flexible closure having a central projection between two annular, concavely arcuate projections each having an outwardly flared rim terminating in a beveled edge.
