摘要： A novel process is disclosed for the manufacture of protected, distortion-free, full-color electrographic images for use on large format posters, billboards and the like. A novel electrographic element (10) is also disclosed which includes a base (11), a release layer (15) and a combined dielectric and heat activated adhesive layer (16) which is substantially tack-free at ambient pressure and temperature. The novel electrographic imaging process includes the steps of: A) producing a toned image layer on the surface of the electrographic element (10) and B) pressure laminating the receptor substrate (50) at an elevated temperature to the toned image layer to form the completed electrographic image. Optionally, the base (11) and release layer (15) are stripped from the dielectric/adhesive layer (16) which then serves to protect the transferred, toned, electrographically generated image from abrasion and environmental contaminants.

摘要： Methods for making a sheet material, such as wall covering, having a decorative (front) surface and a working (back) surface, for application to a support surface are disclosed. One method includes applying a release layer over the decorative surface and printing a pattern over the release layer to cover portions of the release layer. A pressure sensitive adhesive layer is applied to the working surface. Upon rolling the sheet material into a roll, the pattern adheres to the pressure sensitive adhesive layer so that, upon unrolling, the release layer transfers to the pressure sensitive adhesive layer. Another method is disclosed which sequentially combines ink, adhesive and a decorative sheet with a release sheet. Intermediate products, namely the sheet material prior to rolling are also disclosed.

摘要： The present invention relates to a method for coloring a solid object and the coloring film used therein. The present method for coloring a solid object is essentially composed of the steps of: (a) preparing a coloring film having a base film(f) of a pliant material, a coloring layer (14) laid on the base film and an adhesive layer (15) laid on the coloring layer; (b) fitting the coloring film onto the solid object (11) so that the adhesive layer adheres to the outside surface of the solid object; (c) removing the base film from the coloring layer so that the coloring layer remains on the outside surface of the solid object adhering thereto; and (d) performing a hardening treatment on the coloring layer. The present invention also specifies a coloring film which is essentially composed of (a) a base film of a pliant material; (b) an peelable layer detachably adhering to the base film; (c) a coloring layer laid on the peelable layer including coloring material therein for representing a predetermined pattern; and (d) an adhesive layer laid on the coloring layer.
