摘要： To produce thick lenses of plastic material, a mold (2) is first prepared having an inner cavity (3) corresponding in shape to the lens for molding and having a work surface (10) corresponding to an optical surface of the lens for molding; and liquid plastic material is then injected into the cavity (3) of the mold (2). According to the invention, the injection is effected at a geometric center of- the work surface (10) and in a direction substantially perpendicular to the work surface (10), i.e. substantially along an optical axis (16) of the lens for molding.

摘要： A plastic trial lens includes a pinching portion for pinching when a lens is loaded to a trial frame. An injection molded article for the trial lens and a molding apparatus for molding the injection molded article are described, too. The injection molded article molded by the molding apparatus of an injection compression molding machine has a pinching portion and a liquid guide/reservoir portion around an outer peripheral portion of a lens portion that are molded simultaneously with molding of the lens portion. When the injection molded article is dipped into a hard-coat solution for dipping treatment, the hard-coat solution is guided into the liquid guide/reservoir portion and drops. The solution that does not drop stays in the liquid guide/reservoir portion, so that a coating film having a uniform thickness can be formed on the lens portion. When the liquid guide/reservoir portion is removed, a plastic trial lens equipped integrally with the pinching portion can be finished.

摘要： A method of manufacturing blow molded products, such as an illuminating globe and a packaging container of a synthetic resin, such as polyethylene terephthalate and polycarbonate by drawing and blow molding an injection molded preform. A gate (15) is set by forming a resin reservoir (17) of a required outer diameter annularly in a parting portion between a cavity mold (11) defining a cavity (14) and a neck mold (12), the gate (15) communicating with an injection passage (18) provided in the parting portion. This enables the injection of a molten resin from the resin reservoir (17) into the cavity (14) to be effected. An injection molded preform (16) having no gate mark on an outer bottom surface thereof is subjected to drawing and blow molding to obtain a blow molded product, such as a gateless illuminating globe (30).
