摘要： A heat exchanger comprising a plurality of heat exchanger fins and a base plate is provided. Each heat exchanger fin comprises a first portion and second portion having channels therein. The channels are formed by at least a first and second metal sheet. The channels are under vacuum and have a working fluid therein. The channels increase the rate of convective heat transfer to or from an environment by evaporation of a working fluid which is spread by a vapor flow filling the vacuum. The vapor flow eventually condenses over cooler surfaces, distributing heat from a heat source to a larger condensation cooling surface area. An at least a second portion increases the surface area of the heat source in thermal contact with the heat exchanger, thus, further increasing the rate of convective heat transfer while not increasing the square area allotted for the heat exchanger.
