    • An object of the present invention is to provide, as a material for a highly efficient and highly durable organic EL element, an organic compound having excellent hole-injecting/transporting capability, electron-blocking capability, stability in the form of a thin film, and durability. Furthermore, another object of the present invention is to provide an organic EL element having high efficiency, a low driving voltage, and a long lifespan, by combining the organic compound with various materials for organic EL elements so as to effectively exhibit the properties of the individual materials, the materials having excellent hole/electron-injecting/transporting capability, electron-blocking capability, stability in the form of a thin film, and durability. The arylamine compound having a specific structure according to the present invention has excellent hole-injecting/transporting capability, stability in the form of a film, and durability. When this arylamine compound having a specific structure is selected as the material of a hole-transporting layer, holes injected from the anode side can be efficiently transported. Furthermore, various organic EL elements including combination of the arylamine compound with an electron-transporting material having a specific structure or other materials had good element characteristics.
