    • The invention relates to a device for degasifying a melt, especially a plastic melt, comprising a melt nozzle (1), which has an inlet connecting piece (11) for connecting to a melt supply element, and a melt outlet opening (13a), which opens into a degasification chamber (20) that is defined by essentially gas-impermeable walls. Said degasification chamber communicates with a vacuum source and has a discharge opening for essentially tightly connecting to a melt processing system that follows. A melt pump (40) that is configured as a gear pump is connected to the discharge opening of the degasification chamber (20). The invention is characterised in that a melt distributor (42) is situated upstream of the engaging section (46) of the toothed wheels (43, 44) of the melt pump (40).
