    • Die Erfindung betrifft ein Bindegerät (1) für Blattstapel (3), bestehend aus einer Stanzeinheit (7) zum Stanzen von Löchern (5) in einen Blattstapel (3) und einer Bindeeinheit (6) zum Schließen eines Drahtbindekamms (4), der eine Vielzahl von Zinken hat, die in einer Bindeposition in die Löcher (5) des Blattstapels (3) eingreifen, wobei sich die Stanzeinheit (7) zusammensetzt aus einer bewegbar angeordneten Stanzplatte (9) mit einer Vielzahl von Stanzstempeln (8) und einer starr mit dem Gehäuse des Bindegeräts (1) verbundenen Gegendruckplatte (10), die Öffnungen (11) aufweist, in die in der Stanzposition die Stanzstempel (8) eingreifen, und wobei die Bindeeinheit (6) aus zwei im wesentlichen parallel zueinander angeordneten Klemmplatten (12, 13) besteht.
      Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, ein kostengünstig und zuverlässig arbeitendes Bindegerät für Drahtbindekämme zu schaffen.
      Die Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß die erste Klemmplatte (12) starr mit dem unteren Gehäuseteil des Bindegeräts (1) verbunden ist, daß die zweite Klemmplatte (13) starr mit den Stanzstempeln (8) verbunden und im wesentlichen senkrecht zu den Stanzstempeln (8) ausgerichtet ist und daß ein Betätigungselement (2) vorgesehen ist, das die Stanzeinheit (7) und die Bindeeinheit (6) betätigt.

Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine störungsfreie Einfädelung der Drahtspirale zu gewährleisten. Dies wird dadurch erreicht, daß die Drahtspirale (S) unmittelbar im Anschluß an einen rotierenden Wckeldorn (1) von einer stationären Führungsschnecke (12) übernommen wird, an deren Ablaufende (E) im Bereich der letzten Schneckenführung der Führungsschnecke ein Drahttrennmittel (14) vorgesehen ist, welches die letzte geführte Drahtwindung der Drahtspirale (S) durchschneidet. Auf diese Weise wird ein Verbiegen und Verwinden der Drahtspirale unterbunden und ein zielgenaues Einfädeln in den Blätterpack erreicht.

    • A binding machine is described for use in uncoiling the fingers of a binding comb (50), preparatory to an insertion of the fingers (54) of the comb into the apertures (48) provided in a packet or stack of sheets (46) to be bound together. The machine comprises a housing (6) supported for rectilinear reciprocal movement a drive plate (8), said drive plate being provided adjacent opposite side edges with a series of apertures (10), affording a rack, engageable by respective pinions (12) of the machine. The housing (6) is provided with a plurality of fixed abutment elements (28), a clamping member (16) being mounted on the housing for movement between a retracted position and an advanced position, in which advanced position clamping elements (18) of the clamping member are disposed closely adjacent to fixed abutment elements (28), to clamp the spine (52) of a binding comb therebetween. An operating member (36) is also mounted on the housing for movement between a retracted position and an advanced position, such movement of the operating member causing fingers (38) thereof to engage within the coiled fingers (54) of the binding comb, and causing them to be unwound, allowing the fingers (54) to be inserted into the apertures (48) of the packet. Movement of the drive plate (8) from its rest position causes the clamping member (16) to be moved to its advanced position, and then the operating member (36) to its advanced position.
