摘要： An adaptive filtering system is used to reduce the electrical noise on low power ECG signals and the like as generated by rapidly switched magnetic gradient fields in magnetic resonance imaging. A correlated noise reference signal is derived from the inputs to the gradient coils by a combination differentiator and low pass filter. The noise reference signal is received by a filter having adjustable coefficients and the result subtracted from the low power signal to produce an error signal used to adjust the coefficients of the filter. Three separate adaptive filters may be placed in series each with a separate correlated noise reference signal to reduce the noise from three gradient coils

The crosstalk behaviour and the effects of element spacing in a tonometer sensor having a plurality of sensing elements (110) located on a single diaphragm (105) is derived using advanced modeling techniques. An error correction factor look-up table is computed and applied to an uncorrected blood pressure measurement, resulting in increased accuracy.

摘要： A method of processing a raw acceleration signal, measured by an accelerometer-based compression monitor, to produce an accurate and precise estimated actual depth of chest compressions. The raw acceleration signal is filtered during integration and then a moving average of past starting points estimates the actual current starting point. An estimated actual peak of the compression is then determined in a similar fashion. The estimated actual starting point is subtracted from the estimated actual peak to calculate the estimated actual depth of chest compressions. In addition, one or more reference sensors (such as an ECG noise sensor) may be used to help establish the starting points of compressions. The reference sensors may be used, either alone or in combination with other signal processing techniques, to enhance the accuracy and precision of the estimated actual depth of compressions.
