    • An exemplary apparatus includes a sensor array configured to sense a gas stream temperature, pressure, and humidity. The sensor array includes a plurality of sensors, each configured to sense at least one of the gas stream conditions. The apparatus further includes an electronic control unit comprising a memory storage device, a condition evaluation module, a display module, and a wireless transmission module. The memory storage device stores a plurality of condition parameters, each condition parameter corresponding to one of the gas stream conditions. The condition evaluation module is configured to determine if one of the sensed conditions violates one of the corresponding parameters, and is further configured to output a warning command in response to the determining. The display module is configured to display information relating to at least one of a sensed condition and a condition parameter. The wireless transmission module is configured to wirelessly transmit data relating to at least one of the warning command and one of the sensed conditions.

    • An actuator control system (10) includes an actuator (40) continuously movable between multiple positions. A controller (18) is configured to command the actuator to a desired actuator (40) position and to apply the command to an actuator model (24). The controller (18) is configured to compare the modeled and actual actuator positions to determine if the position difference exceeds a fault detection accommodation limit and if the position difference is within a band that is different than the fault detection accommodation limit. The controller (18) is configured to calculate a threshold (30), which is based upon an estimated load on the actuator (40). The controller (18) is configured to calculate a band comprised of the threshold (30) applied to the modeled position and to determine if the actual actuator position is within the calculated band. The threshold (30) is calculated at regular intervals, and a fault is declared if the actual actuator position is outside the band for a number of consecutive intervals.

    • A hydraulic pressure control apparatus includes an upstream control valve, a downstream control valve, a hydraulic pressure sensor, and a controller. The upstream control valve is provided between a hydraulic pressure source and a hydraulic pressure device. The hydraulic pressure sensor is configured and arranged to detect the hydraulic pressure on a downstream side of the downstream control valve. The controller is configured to control the upstream control valve and the downstream control valve based on an upstream pressure command value and a downstream pressure command value, respectively. The controller is further configured to detect an abnormality in the upstream control valve based on the hydraulic pressure detected by the hydraulic pressure sensor when the downstream pressure command value is set to be equal to or greater than the upstream pressure command value.
