摘要： The invention relates to a cleaning device with a container (10) for a cleaning agent (12) which can be set to an operative position in the cistern (14) to clean a WC cistern (14) and a WC pan and has at least one lower outlet (16) from which a partial quantity (18) of the liquid containing the cleaning agent (12) held in the container (10) flows during the flushing operation. The outlet (16) is beneath the surface (20) of the flushing water and can be closed off by a gas bubble (26). The fact that there is at least one valve (28) to control the outlet (16), which closes the outlet (16) under the effect of the gas bubble (26) when the water in the cistern (14) rises and frees it during flushing to provide a metered quantity of the cleaning agent (12), provides a cleaning device which operates reliably regardless of the nature of the cleaning agent to be used and, in particular, ensures the uniform release of cleaning agent.

摘要： @ Solid cakes comprising a water-soluble alkali earth metal salt and a selected alkali metal surfactant. The stoichiometric ration of the salt to surfactant ranges from about 0.1:1 to 2:1. Perfume, dye or salt, or any combination thereof can be added. The cakes have improved chemical stability and improved longevity. Preferred cakes are made with about 75% of a dry mix of magnesium sulfate and sodium alkyl sulfate having a stoichiometric ratio of 0.5:1, 18% perfume, 3% free fatty alcohol, and 2.7% dye.

The dispenser is formed from two sheets welded together, one being planar and the other vacuum formed. Air is permitted to enter the compartments to prolong the life of the active substances, and a vertical air passage within the compartments assists in avoiding the substances blocking the water-outlet apertures, as shown in figure 9.

摘要： Method and apparatus for cleansing and disinfecting a toilet tank and toilet bowl by treating the water discharged from the toilet tank each time the toilet is flushed. A passive dosing dispenser that automatically dispenses a disinfectant with each flush is provided in the tank to carry out the cleansing and disinfecting method. The dispenser (20) comprises a series of chambers in fluid communication including a reservoir (21) containing the source of disinfectant, a vented volume control chamber (30), a delivery tube (40) provided with a dispensing orifice (43, 45) in dynamic fluid communication with liquid in the toilet tank, and a vented standpipe (46). The respective chambers have volumes selected to provide a controlled dispensing action, and the arrangement of chambers is such that the concentration of the aqueous disinfectant solution discharged remains substantially constant upon repetitive flushing, and/or during extended quiescent periods. The dispenser can be provided with means responsive to toilet tank and toilet water contaminants that tend to interfere with the disinfectant dispensed.
