摘要： The present invention relates to a low VOC solvent based adhesive comprising a mixture of at least two organic solvents and a thermoplastic resin. Desirably the adhesive has a flash point of at least 100 DEG F. when measured in accordance with ASTM D3828-87. The solvent blend of the low VOC solvent based adhesive of the instant invention volatilizes at substantially reduced rates as compared to conventional solvent blends in solvent based adhesives. Furthermore, this novel low VOC solvent based adhesive is easy to apply, cost effective, and cures within a reasonable time without the use of heat, ultraviolet light or other mechanical devices. In addition, the novel low VOC solvent based adhesive has good storage stability in metal or non-metal containers.

摘要： An aqueous emulsion adhesive obtainable by blending a polyvinyl alcohol and a compound or polymer having isocyanate groups with an aqueous emulsion, which aqueous emulsion comprises an ethylene-vinyl acetate-vinyl chloride type copolymer having a glass transition temperature from -10 to +40°C and comprising 2 to 40% by weight of ethylene, 3 to 93% by weight of vinyl acetate and 5 to 85% by weight of vinyl chloride, said copolymer being obtainable by polymerization in the presence of an emulsifier consisting essentially of 2 to 13 parts by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol based on 100 parts by weight of the total amount of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride.

摘要： Thermally stable hot applied plastisol compositions are especially useful in the assembly of metal parts. The compositions have adhesive and sealant qualities which allow them to be used in automotive assembly plants. Compositions of the invention comprise as major ingredients finely divided polyvinyl chloride resin, plasticizer, thermoplastic polymeric resin which is solid at room temperature but softens to a flowable state at application temperature, and an adhesion promotion system. Optionally a filler, wax, heat stabilizer, pigment, wetting agent, or mixtures thereof may be added. The individual components work synergistically to get good application properties, metal adhesion, wash-out resistance, and paintability.

摘要： The present invention relates to a vinyl chloride-based polymer, a method of preparing the same, and a plastisol including the vinyl chloride-based polymer. The vinyl chloride-based polymer according to the present invention may exhibit high viscosity characteristics in a low shear region by having particle size distribution characteristics, in which particles having a relatively small particle diameter and particles having a relatively large particle diameter are distributed at a specific ratio, and may exhibit low viscosity characteristics in a high shear region due to small increases in viscosity and stress as shear rate increases, and thus, the vinyl chloride-based polymer may be easily used in a spray coating process.
Therefore, the vinyl chloride-based polymer according to the present invention and the method of preparing the same may be easily applied to industries that need them, for example, vinyl chloride-based resin industry for paste processing.
