    • A gas spray valve permits easy recharging of gas containers after use. The gas spray valve is of considerable strength and rigidity and can be manufactured in a less costly manner. One of the openings of a gas conduit 111 of a valve pin 104 is positioned so that, when the valve pin 104 is in the raised position, the opening is positioned above a second seal ring 108 and, when the valve pin 104 is pushed into a first stop position, the opening is positioned below the second seal ring 108.
      When the valve pin 104 is in the raised position, a bottom end of the valve pin 104 is positioned above a first seal ring 106, and as the result, the interior of a gas container 102 is connected with a metering chamber 110. When the valve pin 104 is pushed into a second stop position, the opening of the gas conduit 111 is positioned below the first seal ring 106 so that the interior of the gas container 102 communicates with the gas conduit 111. This permits recharging of the gas container with the gas.

    • A metering valve assembly (10) comprising a ferrule (8) and a valve housing (22) defining an internal cavity (24). The valve housing accommodates an annular flange (66) and a compression spring (28) therein with a valve gasket (30) closing the internal cavity. The valve housing is attached to the ferrule such that a stem portion (26) of the valve stem protrudes through apertures provided in both the valve gasket and the ferrule. A stem portion has a discharge passageway (50) which is normally closed by the valve gasket. Either an undersurface of the annular flange or a mating surface of the valve housing is provided with a compressible sealing member (68) while the other is provided with an annular edge (70). The compressible sealing member and the annular edge form a seal therebetween, when the valve stem is sufficiently depressed, to partition the interior cavity into a metering chamber (58) and a separate filling chamber (78) whereby product may only be dispensed solely from the metering chamber when a product flow path is established.

    • The invention relates to improvements in valves for dispensers (10) for dispensing an accurately metered dose of a product which comprises metering valve means, the valve comprising a valve stem (15) having at one end piston (27) means extending within and slidable relative to a cup shaped valve body (16), a clearance being provided between an outer surface of the piston (27) means and an inner surface of the valve body (16) to provide a path for said product, a spring member (32) urging the piston (27) means against a base of the valve body (16), such that movement of the valve stem (15) against the spring action causes the piston (27) means to move away from the base of the valve body (16) to define a temporary metering chamber (35) between the valve stem (15) and valve body (16) and product to flow from the container (11) along said path to the metering chamber (35). The dispensing apparatus (10) further comprising sealing (36) means provided within the container (11) such that as an end of the piston (27) means moves into contact with said sealing (36) means, the flow of product along the path is prevented and the product dispensed through an outlet in the valve stem (15).
