摘要： A threaded suture anchor (1) with an eyelet shield (9) transversely molded at a distal end (11) of the anchor body (3), over which one or more strands of suture (5, 7) is looped. The anchor body (3) is threaded and has a tapered distal portion. The proximal end portion of the suture anchor body (3) has a polygonally shaped opening (15) to accept a polygonal drive head, preferably hexagonal or square. The peripheral surface defining polygonally shaped opening is rounded and smooth to prevent abrading sutures placed in contact therewith. In another embodiment, a push-in anchor is provided with an eyelet shield at the proximal end of the anchor.

摘要： Apparatus and methods for repairing damaged tendons or ligaments. Various repair apparatus include an elongate tensile member (376) and a pair of anchor structures (390, 410) connected for movement along the tensile member (376) on either side of a repair site (370, 372), such as a tear or laceration. The anchor structures may take many forms, and may include barbed, helical, and crimp-type anchors (126, 390, 840). In the preferred embodiments, at least one anchor structure (390, 410) is movable along the elongate tensile member (376) to assist with adjusting a tendon segment (356) to an appropriate repair position and the anchor structure or structures (390, 410) are then lockable onto the elongate tensile member (376) to assist with affixing the tendon at the repair position. The invention further provides tendon-to-bone repair apparatus (250) and methods employing similar concepts. Tendon retrieval devices (750) of the invention include helical members (756) for rotating into a tendon end (752) and subsequently moving the tendon to an appropriate operating position.

In one exemplary embodiment, a suture anchor (100) is provided that includes a proximal component (112), a distal component (114), and an intermediate component (116) positioned between the distal component and the proximal component. The proximal and distal components can each be configured to move independent of one another and to move relative to the intermediate component. In this way, the proximal, intermediate, and distal components of the suture anchor can be configured to cooperate with one another to prevent removal of the suture anchor from a bone hole in which the suture anchor is disposed and to lock a suture relative to the suture anchor and to the bone hole.

摘要： Disclosed herein are devices and methods for assessing the surface of a target cardiac tissue and for delivering a tissue anchor to cardiac tissue at a preselected depth within the myocardium in a beating heart procedure. In one variation, an anchor delivery device comprises an elongate body, a tissue anchor disposed within a first longitudinal lumen of the elongate body, and a tissue depth indicator slidable within a second longitudinal lumen of the elongate body. The tissue depth indicator has a first configuration that indicates the boundary of the surface of the target tissue and a second configuration that indicates when the distal tip of the elongate body has been advanced to a preselected depth into the target tissue. In some variations, a tissue depth indicator may also be configured to resist or limit the penetration of the delivery device into tissue after a preselected depth has been reached.

摘要： A perianal fistula treatment device consists of a coil and a drainage seton. The larger diameter of a tapered portion of the coil is abutted against the tissue surface surrounding the internal opening of the fistula tract. A delivery implement of the delivery mechanism rotates the coil. The implant coil has anti-rewind features 302. The coil closes the fistula internal opening by compressing the tissue surrounding the tract inwardly so that the tissue is brought within close approximation creating a seal impermeable to foreign materials and promoting tissue growth across the closely approximated fistula tract. A drainage seton may have anchoring features provided at a compression zone or region. The seton provides a conduit to drain any abscess and remaining or newly formed exudate and fluids from the fistula tract during the healing process.
