    • The invention relates to a fuel-injection valve comprising a valve body (1), on whose combustion chamber end a pressure chamber (26) that is connected to a supply channel (7) is configured. The pressure chamber (26) is delimited by a valve member (20), whose valve sealing surface (18) lies by means of residual stress against a fixed valve seat (17) and which can be lifted up from the latter by the pressure in the pressure chamber (26). At least one injection opening (12) into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine is located downstream of the opening cross-section obtained by the lifting of the sealing surface. The valve member (20) has an essentially disc-shaped configuration and the valve sealing surface (18) is configured on the radially outlying peripheral area of said member and can be lifted up from the valve seat (17) in a resilient manner. The central section of the valve member (20) is pretensioned by a single retaining element (22) on the valve body (1) in relation to the resting position of said member against the valve seat (17).
