摘要： A multimedia messaging service system and a method thereof capable of effectively operating multimedia messages are provided. According to the system and the method, a summary connotatively expressing the multimedia messages is created and provided first to a receiver before the multimedia messages are provided. The receiver can clearly understand the multimedia messages with reference to the summary. That is, the summary connotatively expressing the multimedia messages is provided to the receiver first and the receiver can judge whether to receive the multimedia messages, so that a load increase in a network due to reception of unnecessary multimedia messages can be prevented and, further, a reliability of the multimedia messaging service can be improved.

摘要： A more efficient data structure and method for browsing a multimedia is disclosed. In the present invention, link information between segments and semantic elements of a multimedia data structure is generated with minimal use of storage. Also, priority or weight of segments is represented based on semantic elements and priority or weight of semantic elements is represented based on segments to allow a search of multimedia based on content. The priority or weight information is represented as an attribute of the link information to increase the efficiency of the storage and a method of automatically extracting the priority or weight information is disclosed.

For this, a method for providing an user-adaptive multi-level digest stream, which dynamically provides an user-adaptive digest stream according to an user preference information, comprising searching an user preference information having an user preference/non-preference level by categories for a multimedia stream, and reconstructing a multi-level digest stream information on a multimedia stream as a multi-level digest stream information according to the user preference information, using both the searched user preference information and a content-based data of a multimedia stream. Thereby, it is possible to conveniently provide a multi-level digest stream corresponding to the user's preference without inputting an additional query condition.
