摘要： A plastic system for extruding injection molding and extruding a hollow tube from plastic containing heat sensitive material for thereafter forming into a plastic container by blowing including an extruder for melting the plastic and delivering it to an injection system for injecting the plastic into a manifold that delivers the plastic to the tubular cavities of an injection head including providing a static mixer adjacent each of the cavities. By such an arrangement, the plastic flow in each flow channel provides a uniform homogeneous plastic material such that streaks which may be caused by degraded plastic material or by different color material from a previous run are eliminated.

摘要： In the method of making hollow plastic articles wherein a label is positioned in each of a plurality of spaced partible molds in a predetermined array, preforms are positioned in each set of partible molds and the molds are closed and the preforms are blown outwardly to the confines of the molds to apply the labels to the resultant hollow plastic articles, the method and apparatus for delivering labels to the molds comprises providing labels on a roll of labels, successively die cutting the labels from the web of the roll directly onto awaiting vacuum pads, thereafter moving each label and delivering each label to an endless vacuum conveyor by moving the label without substantially changing the orientation of the plane of the label relative to the plane of the label when it is cut and relative to the endless conveyor, indexing the endless vacuum conveyor to provide an array of labels on the conveyor which corresponds in spacing to the spacing of the array of molds, engaging the array of labels on the conveyor and removing the array of the labels from the conveyor and depositing the array of labels into the array of molds.

摘要： A device for forming a rolled rim (R) at the unrimmed mouth of the body of a container (C) having a body which is fabricated from a sheet of an expanded thermoplastic material, the device including a first member with a first annular rim-forming surface (150), and a second member which is reciprocable relative to the first member. The device further includes a transfer mechanism for inserting a container with an unrimmed mouth (UC) over a frustoconical portion of the first member (124) to position such container to have a rim rolled in the mouth thereof in such rim-forming chamber and to withdraw a container (C) with a rolled rim (R) at the mouth from the first member. The rim-forming chamber is heated and there need be no relative rotation between the rim-forming chamber and the container during the forming of a rolled rim (R) in the container (C).
