    • The present invention relates to a games and/or entertainment apparatus, particularly in the form of a coin-operated and/or cash-value operated gambling machine and/or betting apparatus, having a plurality of screens for showing information, particularly game contents and/or game information, which are oriented towards an apparatus operator terminal, and also having a control device for actuating the screens and/or controlling game cycles. It is proposed that a plurality of screens be arranged in staggered succession so as to overlap one another, so that the viewing window for at least one screen remains, in terms of format and/or size, behind the actual screen surface of the screen so as firstly to accommodate a maximum number of screens in a compact arrangement and secondly not to be limited to the desired field of vision in terms of the formats of the screens to be used. The invention provides for at least one of the screens to be arranged so as to be partly or fully concealed behind at least one further screen when considered from the apparatus operator terminal.

    • The present invention relates to a gaming and/or entertainment device, particularly in the form of a roulette game device, having a game field comprising multiple waging fields, onto which a game wage of a player and/or of multiple players may be placed individually and/or in groups, and a playing field, particularly in the form of a roulette wheel, comprising multiple winning fields, of which one or optionally multiple winning fields may be selected by means of a prize determination means. According to the invention, game waging display means for marking the prize fields are provided on the prize fields of the playing field, which result in prizes according to the game wages having been placed, wherein a detection device is associated with the waging fields for detecting the waging fields allocated with a game wager, and wherein a controller for activating the game waging display means is provided on the prize fields as a function of the waging fields allocated with game wagers and detected by the detection device.

    • The invention relates to an electronic gaming and/or gambling device, in particular a game of chance and/or gambling device that is coin-operated and/or operated by a monetary value equivalent. Said device comprises a housing, a control unit, which is situated in the housing, for controlling at least one game, at least one display device, in particular a screen for displaying the game, in addition to a control panel, which is provided on the housing and comprises at least one manually operated control button for actuating the gaming device. The gaming device is not only operated by hand, using the corresponding control button in the control panel on the body of the device, but also by foot. According to the invention, the gaming device comprises at least one foot pedal for inputting gaming control commands into the control unit. The provision of a foot pedal of this type, preferably in the vicinity of the floor, permits the device to be operated with significantly improved ergonomics. In particular, the player is no longer restricted to the control panel with the manually operated control buttons, but can stand back in order to view the gaming display from a greater distance, in particular in the case of large-area screens, or can move back and forth in front of the gaming device, remaining within reach of the foot pedal in order to operate the gaming device. This also significantly increases the stimulus of the game, as the gaming device can be operated in a wider variety of ways. The foot pedal is used in particular to start or restart the game. The gaming device also comprises a knee pedal, which can be used to start or restart a game in the gaming device with the knee.

    • The invention relates to a method for transmitting an entertainment gaming session between client units (C21, C22) in a server-based entertainment gaming system, which comprises a server unit (SE) and at least two client units (C21, C22). Links (KV1, KV2) are established between the server unit (SE) and the at least two client units (C21, C22) via a communications network (KN). For a current entertainment gaming session carried out on a first client unit (C21) of the server-based entertainment gaming system, centrally stored, user-specific data is checked (1) and an identifier (ID1) of the first client unit (C21) is saved (2) with the user-specific data. If a change to a second client unit (C22) of the server-based entertainment gaming system is requested during the currently running entertainment gaming session, the identifier (ID1) of the first client unit (C21) is displayed (3). The identifier (ID2) of the first client unit is entered (4) on the second client unit (C22). A communication link (KV2) is established from the second client unit (C22) to the server unit (SE), an identifier (ID2) of the second client unit (C22) being sent to the server unit (SE) and stored (5) with the user-specific data. Once the communication link (KV2) has been established between the second client unit (C22) and the server unit (SE), the entertainment gaming session is carried out (6) on the second client unit (C22) and the identifier (ID1) of the first client unit (C21) is deleted from the user-specific data. The communication link (KV1) from the server unit (SE) to the first client unit (C21) is then ended and the first client unit (C21) is released (7). The entertainment gaming session can then be continued seamlessly with the same status on the second client unit (C22).

    • The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus (100; 200; 300; 400) for checking parallel use of gaming and/or entertainment machines (110; 210, 230, 250; 310, 330, 350; 410, 430, 450), particularly in the form of slot machines and/or gambling machines operable on a cash value basis. These gaming or entertainment machines (110; 210, 230, 250; 310, 330, 350; 410, 430, 450) are usually disabled and can be enabled for active use by means of the input of biometric user data. In this case, an explicitly identifiable identification feature is first of all stipulated for the biometric user data that are to be input. Biometric user data are then captured (a) for an entertainment machine (110; 210; 310; 410) by a capture unit (101; 201; 301; 401) of the apparatus (100; 200; 300; 400). These captured user data are then checked by a checking unit (102; 202; 302; 402) for the presence of the explicitly identifiable identification feature and are compared (b) by the enabling unit (103; 203; 303; 403) of the apparatus (100; 200; 300; 400) with biometric user data that are captured when further entertainment machines (230, 250; 330, 350; 430, 450) are enabled and that are stored at the time of an enabling check on the entertainment machine (110; 210; 310; 410). In the absence of a match between the captured biometric user data and the already stored user data and in the presence of the explicitly identifiable identification feature for the captured biometric user data, the entertainment machine (110; 210; 310; 410) is enabled (c) by the enabling unit (103; 203; 303; 403). The captured biometric user data are stored (d) in a local or central memory unit (104; 204; 304; 404).
