    • In einer Nebenstellenanlage kann eine Vielzahl von Teilnehmerendeinrichtungen (2) durch eine Vielfachleitung, getrennt in Sende- und Empfangsrichtung, in Form einer Linienstruktur mit einer zentralen Steuereinrichtung (3) verbunden werden. Die zu übertragende Information kann, in Form von Datenblöcken, seriell und im Zeitmultiplexverfahren auf den Leitungen übertragen werden.
      Zur Verlängerung der Vielfachleitung in der Nebenstellenanlage sind im Verlauf der, aus Datenleitungen (1 N) und weiteren, gerichteten Leitungen (4) bestehenden, Übertragungsstrecke jeweils Verstärker (5) vorsehbar. Im Hinblick auf eine geringe Ausfallwahrscheinlichkeit werden entgegengerichtete Leitungen der Vielfachleitung paarweise zu einer Schleife verbunden und zur Informationsübertragung den Teilnehmerendeinrichtungen jeweils eine Leitung oder Zeitkanäle auf einer Leitung der Empfangsrichtung und der Senderichtung von der zentralen Steuereinrichtung zugeteilt oder dezentral durch die Teilnehmerendeinrichtung belegt.

    • This invention relates to a telecommunication system including a conference information system including a number of participants each equipped with a separate node (2, 4, 8), which conference nodes may be interconnected via a switching network (1) such as a public switched telephone network, and where each participant node (2, 4 , 8) is including means for receiving a sum conference information signal from the other participating nodes, means for adding the signal generated in each conference node to the sum signal, and means for controlling the conferencing functions. According to this invention all of the nodes (2, 4, 8) in the conference connection are interconnected in a complete conference ring (11) by means of one single connection (12) in which the information signals are transmitted from node to node in one single direction (arrow 12). Some of the advantages of this system are
      a conference may be established even if the possibly centrally arranged exchange is not provided with a conference facility. The conference facility is introduced by equipment distributed in each node terminal. The line requirement is reduced to the half, but still the same traffic capacity may be handled by the system. all the nodes now get identical status in the ring, and therefore all of the nodes may be designed as quite identical circuits.

    • A communication system comprises a central processing unit (1) and a plurality of N communication stations (2.1, 2.2, ..., 2.N), in which the central processing unit and the communication stations are coupled over an uplink signal line (3) and a downlink signal line (4). The downlink signal (Fig. 3) on the downlink signal line has the form of successive frames, each frame comprising M signal blocks (SB m ), the first signal block in a frame comprising a synchronizing word (sync word) (22), the signal blocks all having space for storing audio information in the form of p audio words (21), the M-1 signal blocks not comprising a sync word further having space for storing control information, the control information in a signal block belonging to a communication station containing downlink assign information (a.dl + m) denoting which audio words in the signal blocks in a frame are destined for said communication station.
         The uplink signal (Fig. 4) has the form of successive frames having a time duration equal to the time duration of the frames in the downlink signal. Each frame has space for first signal blocks (30) each comprising two or more audio words, and second signal blocks (31) comprising control information. The control information in the downlink signal and destined for a station further includes uplink assign information (audio chan. upl + m) denoting what first signal blocks in a frame in the uplink signal originate from a station. Furthermore, there are gaps (36A) between the uplink signal blocks originating from different stations.
