For instance, the user's inbound and outbound communications during such an outage may be routed through his personal survivability gateway and a survivability proxy to limit, if not eliminate such service degradation.

摘要： Disclosed is a method for replacing a faulty control unit in a conveying device interconnected by a bus. In logistics processes, conveying devices are used for conveying, in a fully or partially automated manner, goods to be conveyed by means of conveying segments and convey, for example, packages, pallets, merchandise and other goods from a starting point to a destination. The conveying segments are controlled and monitored by control units. When a control unit breaks down, the conveying system may come to a standstill. In order to minimize downtimes of the conveying device and keep associated economic losses low, the described method for replacing a faulty control unit in a conveying device interconnected by a bus can be used in order to ensure that a control unit can be replaced swiftly and reliably. The method according to the invention allows for the automatic identification of a fault in a control unit as well as for an initial configuration of a replacement control unit using an individual bus address or additional parameters.
