摘要： The present invention provides a method of extracting and recovering embryonic like stem cells, including, but not limited to pluripotent or multipotent stem cells, from an exsanguinated human placenta. A placenta is treated to move residual umbilical cord blood by perfusing an exsanguinated placenta, preferably with an anticoagulant solution, to flush out residual cells. The residual cells and perfusion liquid from the exsanguinated placenta are collected, and the embryonic-like stem cells are separated from the residual cells and perfusion liquid. The invention also provides a method of utilizing the isolated and perfused placenta as a bioreactor in which to propagate endogenous cells, including, but not limited to, embryonic-like stem cells. The invention also provides methods for propagation of exogenous cells in a placental bioreactor and collecting the propagated exogenous cells and bioactive molecules therefrom.

On ajoute un anticoagulant au liquide sanguin dans le vaisseau, puis on déplace le liquide sanguin dans ledit vaisseau afin de répartir l'anticoagulant dans tout le sang.

摘要： Die Erfindung beschreibt eine Halterung (Fig. 1) für die manuelle Isolierung verschiedener Zelltypen aus der Nabelschnur und ein separates Stativ mit Auflageflächen für das einleitende, wie ableitende Schlauch-Spritzensystem mit Auffanghalterung (Fig. 3 und 4) der Zellsuspension. Es stellt eine enorme Erleichterung für die manuelle Gewinnung von autologen Zellen für die Transplantation, sowie zur Herstellung von Gewebe zur Transplantation dar. Die Nabelschnur-Halterung ist so aufgebaut, dass zwei Nabelschnurstücke gleichzeitig verarbeitet werden können, um z.B. Endothelzellen aus einer Arterie und einer Vene eines Spenders zu isolieren. Es zeichnet sich im Vergleich zu der bisher üblichen Vorgehensweise dadurch aus, dass die Nabelschnur aufgehängt und justiert wird, wodurch die Hände frei bleiben für andere wichtige Arbeitsschritte.
Somit können aus einer Nabelschnur Endothelzellen und Fibroblasten für Primärkulturen, sowie Progenitorzellen und mesenchymale Stammzellen unkompliziert gewonnen werden.
