摘要： This invention relates to an image reading apparatus which eliminates color misregistration upon reading in the sub-scanning direction, which occurs due to different afterglow or persistence characteristics of the respective colors (R, G, B) of a light source upon executing the light quantity control of the light source (10) for illuminating an original (20). Since the light quantity control of the light source is divisionally done a plurality of times in one accumulation period of a solid-state image sensing element (105), any deviation of the center of gravity of the quantity of light from the center (C) of one accumulation period can be minimized, and the color misregistration can be eliminated remarkably.

摘要： This invention provides an image processing apparatus provided with an outline extracting section (4) for extracting an outline of an input image and a color converting section (1) for converting the color of the outline extracted into a predetermined color. This apparatus is therefore capable of extracting the outline of an input image, applying color conversion to the outline extracted, and emphasizing a pattern such as a character, a graphic pattern and the like. The apparatus is further provided with a converting-color designating section (2) for designating a converting color to be applied to the outline, a color detecting section (5) for detecting a portion having a predetermined color in the input image, and a region designating section (6) for designating a predetermined region in the input image. Accordingly, the outline alone can be independently processed so that an outlined character, a shaded character or the like can be formed.

摘要： There is provided an image processing apparatus for modulating a concentration of input image data, comprising: an inputting device to input image data; an RAM to store first image data input by the inputtng device; a processing unit to execute a modulating process to at least one area such as a non-rectangular area in second image data input by the inputting device by using the first image data stored in the RAM; and a detector to detect a predetermined color of the second image data. The area is specified by the color detected by the detector. The inputting device includes a CCD for reading an original and generating RGB color component signals. With this apparatus, a texture process is executed to at least one non-rectangular area and the result can be output in a real-time manner.
