    • The waste-treating material and the method for treating waste to stabilize harmful metals in the waste. The material and the method are particularly effective to alkaline incinerated dust discharged from waste incinerators, which dust is difficult for suppressing the elution of harmful metals by a conventional cement solidification method. According to the invention, the waste treating method comprises the steps of: mixing 3 to 30 wt. parts of the waste-treating material containing as main component at least one selected from the group of an X-ray-analytically amorphous aluminum hydroxide, a porous inorganic adsorbent in a powder form, a water-soluble phosphate, and a water-soluble carbonate with 100 wt. parts of the waste containing at least one harmful metal selected from the group consisting of lead, chromium, copper, and zinc; and kneading the mixture with adding water at need. The treating material and the treating method treat a wide variety of waste including: industrial waste containing harmful heavy metals, industrial waste containing heavy metals discharged from semiconductor plant and plating plant, slurry sludge and dewatering cake sludge discharged from semiconductor plant and plating plant after treatment of various kinds of waste liquids, harmful dust collected for conserving environment of working place of electric furnace and fusion furnace in steel making works, dust generated from municipal waste fusion furnace, and contaminated soil generated at waste landfill site.

    • This invention provides a hydrosilylation method in which hydrosilyl groups are added to olefin using a metal catalyst, which comprises controlling the hydrosilylation reaction by allowing a compound selected from thiazoles and phosphines to coexist in the reaction system, and a process making use thereof for the production of a hydrosilyl group-containing organic curing agent. This invention gives a method for easy control of hydrosilylation reaction and a process making use thereof for the production of an organic compound modifying silicon compound having 2 or more hydrosilyl groups in the molecule. This compound is used as a curing agent of addition type curable compositions. As an accompanying effect, storage stability of the produced curing agent is improved when a catalyst and additives of this invention remain therein, in comparison with the case in which only the catalyst remains.
