摘要： A grid tee and method of making the same comprising an elongated sheet metal strip folded on itself to integrally form a lower double wall flange, a hollow upper reinforcing bulb, and a web extending upwardly between the flange and bulb, the flange generally lying in a horizontal plane, having opposed spaced parallel edges extending longitudinally, and being perpendicular to the web, the web lying in a generally vertical plane, the strip having two longitudinal extending marginal edge zones, said marginal edge zones being generally vertically disposed and fixed at least at longitudinally spaced locations to a central area of the strip that forms a portion of the web and forming a double web layer area, the marginal edge zones of the strip being vertically spaced from one another such that a portion of the central area of the strip that forms a part of the web is a single exclusive layer.

The tee and clip form a pocket for receiving the projecting end of an opposing clip with a uniform low insertion force. 摘要： In one embodiment, a roll-formed sheet metal tee for grid type suspended ceilings with the face of its flange integral with the stem and the layers of the stem fixed together for improved torsional strength. An upper region of the stem can have one or more of its layers folded to increase suspension wire breakout strength. A stiffening bulb is below suspension wire receiving holes so that a loop of the suspension wire through the tee has a narrow profile and thereby avoids interference with ceiling panels during their installation or removal. Other embodiments of a tee share the feature of a narrow, suspension wire receiving upper stem portion.

The increased temperature resistance is provided by coating the glass fibers with a halogenated resin latex binder and a calcium carbonate material. The method of making the glass fiber composition comprises depositing the resin latex and a calcium carbonate material on the glass fibers using a cationic flocculant. The preferred halogenated resin latex binder comprises polyvinyl chloride or polyvinylidene chloride.

The stitches (23) are created in an inexpensive rolling process that does not require control of the position of the stitches relative to the ends or other parts of the tee. 摘要： A composition suitable for making acoustical tiles in a water-felting process comprises expanded perlite, clay, a binder component selected from the group consisting of starch, latex, cellulosic fiber and mixtures thereof and optionally mineral wool. The use of an expanded perlite having a relatively high density, preferably between about 9 pounds per cubic foot to about 20 pounds per cubic foot, enables the formation of a suitable slurry with a relatively low amount of water and enables a more complete dewatering of the mat prior to drying.
