摘要： Resins and waxes made by reacting selected nucleophiles, including alcohols and/or amines, with an isocyanate are disclosed. The order of addition of the isocyanate and the different nucleophiles can tailor the distribution of diurethane, mixed urethane/urea, and/or di-urea molecules in the final resin product. The isocyanate-derived resin and wax materials are useful as ingredients as phase change ink carrier compositions used to make phase change ink jet inks.

摘要： The present invention provides a waterproof plastic foam such as waterproof polyurethane foam which can keep the inherent properties of the foam and exhibit low gas permeability and water absorption, excellent water-sealing properties and hence a stable waterproofness. A waterproof plastic foam obtained by a process which comprises foaming a foamable composition comprising a polyisocyanate, a compound containing at least two active hydrogen groups, a compound containing at least one ester bond, a catalyst, a blowing agent and a foam stabilizer, and then curing the foam is described, wherein the compound containing at least one ester bond is a product of the reaction of any one of a monocarboxylic acid having not less than 9 carbon atoms, an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having not less than 8 carbon atoms and an alicyclic dicarboxylic acid having not less than 8 carbon atoms with a monoalcohol having not less than 10 carbon atoms, and the compound containing at least one ester bond is incorporated in an amount of from 7 to 100 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the compound containing at least two active hydrogen groups. A waterproof plastic foam obtained by a process which comprises foaming a foamable composition comprising a polyisocyanate, a compound containing at least two active hydrogen groups, a compound containing ester bonds, a catalyst, a blowing agent and a foam stabilizer, and then curing the foam is also described, wherein the compound containing ester bonds is made of oleic acid and one component selected from the group consisting of butadiene polyol, adduct of bisphenol A with propylene oxides and castor oil, and the compound containing ester bonds is incorporated in an amount of from 7 to 100 parts by weight based on 100 parts by weight of the compound containing at least two active hydrogen groups.

摘要： A water dispersible, modified polyurethane which is the reaction product of polyisocyanate, polyether polyol, modifying agent containing at least one pendant hydrophobic group and at least two active hydrogen moieties and capping agent. The modified polyurethane may also include a second type of modifying agent which does not have a pendant hydrophobic group. The modified polyurethane can be prepared by reacting the polyisocyanate and the polyether polyol and then adding the capping agent and finally the modifying agent with or without the second modifying agent. The modified polyurethane resists microbial attack, exhibits superior efficiency in thickening aqueous compositions under high shear conditions and achieves acceptable sag and leveling.

摘要： The tape comprises a substrate in the form of an olefinic polymer film, a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer on one face of the substrate, and a printable, non-stick layer on the other face of the substrate. 摘要： A heat stable thermoplastic epoxy resin is prepared by reacting together in the presence of a catalyst (a) an epoxy resin, (b) optionally, a polyhydric phenol, and (c) a monohydric phenol or alcohol, monocarboxylic acid or anhydride thereof, aliphatic or aromatic mono-secondary amines, mono-thiol, mono-isocyanate, water or combination thereof. The thermoplastic resin does not exhibit an excessive viscosity increase at elevated temperatures making it particularly suitable for use in highway marking paint applications.

摘要： An adhesive for percutaneous administration having a drug-containing layer composed of a base component mainly comprising a heat-sensitive and water-sensitive amphiphilic polymer and a drug incorporated in the base component. The amphiphilic compound has a characteristic hydrophobicity-hydrophilicity tapered structure, and a variety of liquid or solid or lipophilic (hydrophobic) or hydrophilic drugs of a broad range can stably be dissolved or dispersed therein. The drug in the drug-containing layer remains stable without being released or diffused while the adhesives are stored, and upon application to the skin, the drug is gradually released and diffused into the skin with high availability in a specifically controlled pattern. The present adhesive is especially advantageous for endermic presentation of a slight amount of a substance of high physiological activity which is unstable and is easily decomposed by heat or water.
