    • The invention relates to a pallet container (10) comprising: a thin-walled inner container (12) made of thermoplastic material for storing and transporting liquid or free-flowing products; a lattice tube frame (14), which closely surrounds the plastic container (12) in the form of a supporting cage and which consists of vertical and horizontal tubular rods (20, 22) that are welded to one another, and; a base pallet (16) upon which the plastic container (12) rests and to which the lattice tube frame (14) is joined in a fixed manner. Prior art pallet containers have shortcomings with regard to strength (tubular rod fatigue failure) that are considerable in the event of longer lasting shaking during transport that involves dynamic cyclic stresses. In order to improve the lattice tube frame durability while maintaining sufficient stacking load-bearing capacity, the invention achieves an adapted optimal elasticity for dynamic alternating loads. This is realized by virtue of the fact that the tubular rods (20, 22) with a closed tubular profile have a varying tubular profile height, which is discontinuously higher in the intersection areas and continuously lower between the intersection areas.

Known pallet containers present a considerable lack of resistance (fatigue fractures in the tubular bars) when subjected to prolonged dynamic vibration stress, as they are e.g., during sustained periods of transportation stress on poor roads. The aim of the invention is to improve the stability of the lattice frame while ensuring adequate flexural strength and an appropriately adapted optimal vibration elasticity. The invention provides that the vertical and/or horizontal tubular bars (30, 32) are free of spheroidization in the plane where they meet, in the area of a point of intersection, and that they have at least one spheroid adjacent to a point of intersection or a welding point, a lateral distance away from the same, respectively.

    • The invention relates to a rolling machine for working a metal container having a longitudinal seam, especially a sheet steel container, in which a cylindrical body is bent out of a flat metal plate and the adjacent edges of the cylindrical body can be welded to one another, after which a discoid underside and, optionally, a corresponding top side are welded to the cylindrical body (=intermediate product) in order to form a closed container or a container which is open at the top.
