    • The invention relates to a switching apparatus for closing and/or opening an electric circuit. It has an actuating unit (3, 5, 22) and a bistable mechanism (6). The actuating unit (3, 5, 22) is linearly movable between a first end position in which the switching apparatus is in a closed state and a second end position in which the switching apparatus is in an open state. The linear movement defines an axis. The bistable mechanism is arranged to ensure that the actuating unit (3, 5, 22) is held in either of the end positions.
      According to the invention, the bistable mechanism includes a cam means (7a, 7b) mechanically connected to the actuating unit (3, 5, 22) and at least one cam follower (8).
      The invention also relates to a use of the invented apparatus.

    • The invention relates to an electric switch (1) which is particularly suitable for use in a vehicle, for example as a switch (1) for an interior vehicle light. The detent elements exert a detent force on the actuating organ (4) during displacement of the latter and/or in the initial or actuating position. The detent curved profile (5) is positioned on the actuating organ (4). The detent element (6) is configured as a laminated spring (8), whereby said laminated spring (8) is fixed into the housing (2).

    • In a stalk switch, a control lever (2) is rotatably supported on a housing (1), and a driving member (3) is slidably held on the base end of the control lever (2) via a first spring (4). A sectionally V-shaped cam surface (5) is provided inside the housing (1), and an end of the driving member (3) is pressed into contact with a cam surface (5), whereby the control lever (2) can be rotated between the neutral position and the left and right operating positions.
