摘要： A device for feeding packaging blanks (3) to a packaging machine has a magazine with two shafts (7) mounted at the bottom for supporting the blanks (3). The shafts (7) are brought to rotate at constant speed in opposite directions to each other, hence eliminating the static friction from the bottom of the magazine. An angle is formed between the shafts (7), so that a small, forwardly directed force component contributes to the movement of the blanks (3). The dynamic friction is used to move blanks (3) towards a gate (2) at the end of the magazine, and only a small, constant feeding force (A) from a pusher is necessary for the movement.

A hitting rod mechanism (9) is located close to the ribbon attaching station (15) to attach the ribbon to the empty spool on the mandril (19). A ribbon support roller (10) is located between the winding spool at the ribbon attaching station (15) and the winding spool at the ribbon winding station (16) for supporting the ribbon and a delivery chute (11) is provided for removing cut piece of ribbon after attaching the ribbon on the spool.

摘要： A method of dispensing a strip product using a strip fabrication assembly, by entering arm positions for guide arms of the assembly into a guide arm controller device, moving the corresponding guide arms of the strip fabrication assembly to the respective arm positions using the guide arm controller device, and feeding different strip materials through the assembly using the guide arms, after moving them to the entered arm positions. The guide arms are coupled to threaded rods, and are moved by actuating servo motors which are coupled to the threaded rods. The guide arm controller device may include a programmable logic controller, which has been programmed to control the servo motors in response to entry of guide arm positions. The controller may further provide for the listing and searching of different sets of previously entered arm positions on a display device of the guide arm controller device, and selection of one of the previously entered sets of arm positions as a current set of arm positions, using an input interface. Multiple sets of arm positions corresponding to different strip product orders can be stored for later use.

摘要： This invention relates to two apparatus and one method for use in spooling composite coiled tubing onto a coiled tubing reel (10). One apparatus includes the modification of tubing reel cores currently in common use by the direct adhesion of a compliant material (22) to the hub (20). Another apparatus modifies the commonly used tubing reel hub by affixing several panels (26) concentric to the hub and mounted on compression springs (24). The method entails the pressurization of the composite coiled tubing prior to spooling onto the tubing reel, and subsequently releasing the pressure within the composite tubing after it has been spooled onto the tubing reel. Both apparatus and the method protect the reel core by absorbing or eliminating the radially inward forces of the composite tubing resulting from the pressurization and corresponding contraction in length of the spooled composite coiled tubing.
