摘要： A video data recording unit receives input video signal streams from up to 16 cameras (42). The signal streams are selectively converted into digital video signals (56-1, 56-2) and are stored on a data storage device such as a hard disk (62). The apparatus is controlled so that both odd and even signal fields generated by at least one camera are recorded, whereas only odd fields or only even fields generated by the other cameras are recorded. Odd and even signal field streams may be derived from a single stream of demodulated video signals, or from respective demodulation streams.

摘要： The present invention provides an imaging position determining method and an imaging position determining device capable of determining an imaging position in a sequential imaging operation even in using a general camera not having a function to output information on movement and imaging positions of the camera.
It is determined whether a camera (10) is resting in any of a plurality of imaging positions employed for a sequential imaging operation, and when it is determined that the camera (10) is resting, an image picked up by the camera (10) in a current imaging position is compared with previously stored background reference images, and the current imaging position is determined by using correlation calculated values between the compared images. Thus, even when a general camera not having a function to output information on the movement and the imaging positions of the camera (10) is used, the imaging position in the sequential imaging operation can be determined.

摘要： A digital video system including a computer connected via a network to a number of video servers and cameras. The computer includes a program that provides a grid of display windows, each of which displays an image received from the camera associated with that window. The program sequentially polls each camera, accessing and displaying an image from the camera in its associated window. The program can access the cameras at different frame rates. The program stores image streams in a single file, concatenating each successive image onto the end of the file. The file is then indexed using SOI and EOI markers to permit fast access to individual images within the file. The program can monitor received video and automatically start recording upon detecting motion within the video stream. Motion detection is implemented by comparing color component values for pixels from different images.
