    • Provided is a headup display device which is not liable to generate abnormal sound. The headup display device comprises: a liquid crystal display (20) for emitting display light (M); a concave mirror (D1) for reflecting the display light (M); and a motor device (1) for rotating the concave mirror (D1). The motor device (1) includes: a motor (10) having a motor shaft (150) projecting from a motor body (110); a worm (2) connected to the motor shaft (150) and having a spiral groove (21) formed on the outer peripheral surface (20); and a worm wheel (3) provided with teeth (36) engaging with the spiral groove (21) and transmitting a driving force from the motor (10) to the concave mirror (D1). A hole (23) is formed inside the worm (2) extending in the axial direction of the worm (2) from the end face (292) of the worm (2) near the motor body (110). A compression coil spring (8) is arranged in the hole (23) for biasing the worm (2) in the direction opposite the motor body (110) and biasing the motor shaft (150) toward the motor body (110).

A refresh unit (600) refreshes the third detection signal (P3) inputted to the main control unit (400).

    • A display device is provided with: a display means that is mounted on a vehicle, that displays a virtual image of a picture by projecting, on a windshield, display light representing the picture, and that emits the display light; an identification means that identifies a target (W) outside the vehicle; a control means that causes a first captured image (Va), visually recognized as being superposed on at least a part of the target (W), to be displayed in the picture; and a vibration detection means that detects the amount of vibration of the vehicle. The control means, when the amount of vibration detected by the vibration detection means exceeds a threshold value, causes a second captured image (Vb) to be displayed instead of the first captured image (Va). The second captured image (Vb) is an image of which a color shade difference between pixels configuring an image end and a region outside the image and adjacent to the image end is decreased compared with the first captured image (Va). In this way, even if a position error is caused between a predetermined object and a captured image displayed while being superposed on the object, a sense of discomfort that a viewer may feel can be decreased.
