摘要： A snowboard binding system having a binding plate (18), the bottom of which is supported on a snowboard (10). The plate (18) includes a circular-opening (36) in its center which receives a disk shaped hold-down plate (30). The hold-down plate (30) may be secured to the snowboard (10) in several different positions on the snowboard (10) with the binding plate (18) assuming any rotational position with respect to the hold-down plate (30). Additionally, a high-back support (28) attached at the rear of the binding plate (18) may be rotated along an axis generally normal to the binding plate (18) (and therefore the snowboard (10)) and secured in its rotated position, to enable a rider to transmit forces to the snowboard (10) from a variety of stance positions.

摘要： Boot binding systems for riding a snow gliding board, including a pair of boot bindings, each member of the pair having a toe latch pedal mechanism at the toe end of a baseplate on which the rider's boot rests, the toe latch pedal having dual function to either a) attach each boot binding to a ride mode interface in ride mode configuration or to b) attach each boot binding to a ski touring mode interface in ski touring configuration. In a “release position” the toe latch pedal is disengaged so that the baseplate assembly may be detached or switched between the ski touring mode interface and the ride mode interface in alternation. In a “lock position”, the toe of the rider's boot depresses the toe latch pedal and locks the boot binding onto the selected interface. As co-planar with the baseplate, the latch pedal also supports the rider's boot when in the lock position.

Portions of the binding system are pivotal with the rider's foot and with respect to the board. 摘要： A method and apparatus for providing a gliding board binding, such as a snowboard binding. The binding may include an adjustment indicator that allows for determination of a longitudinal position of the base relative to a gliding board, heel-to-toe position of the base relative to a gliding board and/or an angular position of the base relative to a gliding board when the base is secured to the gliding board. The adjustment indicator may be included with a footbed that is removable from a binding base, e.g., that includes a foot engagement member to secure a rider's foot to the binding and board. A removable footbed may include a toe portion that is adjustable in position relative to a heel portion of the footbed.; A gliding board may include a channel for mounting a binding that is arranged in the board core so that no portion of the board core is located on top or bottom sides of the channel, and instead so the top and bottom reinforcement layers are located above and below the channel.
