摘要： A light emission display includes data lines, scan lines, and pixel circuits. A pixel circuit of the pixel circuits includes: a light emission element; a first transistor including a control electrode and first and second electrodes, the first transistor outputting a current corresponding to a voltage between the first electrode and the control electrode; a first switch coupled between the control electrode of the first transistor and the light emission element and for receiving a first control signal; a first capacitor coupled to the first transistor; a second capacitor coupled between a first power source and the first capacitor; a second switch for coupling the first capacitor and a second power source in response to a second control signal; and a third switch for applying a data voltage to the first capacitor in response to a select signal provided by one of the scan lines. Short-range transistor threshold voltage variations from pixel to pixel as well as long-range voltage drop on first power line across the display are both reduced.

摘要： A flat panel display capable of reducing element defects by decreasing taper angles of contact holes and a via hole. The flat panel display includes a thin film transistor having at least source and drain electrodes formed over an insulating substrate, an insulating layer having a via hole for exposing one of the source and drain electrodes, and an anode connected to said one of the source and drain electrodes through the via hole. The via hole and the anode are tapered with taper angles of 60° or less. The source and drain electrodes are connected respectively to source and drain regions of the thin film transistor through the contact holes. The contact holes are also tapered with taper angles of 60° or less.

Here, the first capacitor stores a second voltage by coupling of the first and second capacitors. The first and second capacitors are coupled to establish the voltage between the gate and source thereof as a third voltage, and a driving current from the driving transistor is transmitted to a light emitting element.
