    • A container for housing optical discs (100) includes a base (2) and a lid (3). The disc is housed between the base and the lid. The base may have a retainer for releasably holding an optical disc against a surface thereof. The lid is pivotally coupled to the base by a pivot joint (4) which permits pivotal motion of the lid relative to the base about a pivot axis that is substantially orthogonal to the plane of the disc. The container also includes a hook (5) for coupling the container to a rod (9). The hook may be formed on a perimeter edge of at least one of the base and lid. The inwardmost end of the hook may terminate within the pivot joint. Another embodiment of the invention comprises a shell (512) with a peripheral slot (550) for ejecting the disc with an ejection member (520) in a shape of a hook.

    • A resealable closure (10) for beverage containers (12) uses initial physical interference to initiate a seal between a sealing flap (22) and a dispensing port (20) in a lid (18) of the resealable closure (10). In certain embodiments, once the initial seal is achieved, a pressure differential develops, resulting in additional force tending to bias the sealing flap (22) toward the dispensing port (20). The sealing flap (22) is actuated by an external drive means (24), that can also be a dust cover to prevent debris from contaminating any surfaces that may come into contact with the contents of the beverage container (12). In many embodiments, there is a slack between initial movement of the external drive means (24) and initial movement of the sealing flap (22), during which the pressure differential is preferably equalized through the unsealing of a vent hole (36) in the resealable closure (10).

    • This invention provides a closure cap (10) and cap assembly for substantially gas-tight sealing engagement with a container closure having an opening therein circumscribed by a substantially smooth sealing surface thereon. The closure cap (10) includes a sealing portion releasably engageable in surrounding gas-tight sealing relation with the sealing surface on the container closure. The sealing portion comprises elastic portions (64) circumferentially spaced by a plurality of radially extending less elastic portions (60). The cap assembly of this invention may be anchored to the end wall of a container closure.
