摘要： A combined heated ironing board or table, which can be converted for use as a trouser press or as a food warming tray or support is disclosed. The heated ironing board (11) of the invention includes one or a plurality of heater elements a platform (18; 86; 87) and a control panel (78) housing a control circuit (31; 60-75) by means of which the temperature at the surface of the platform (12; 76, 77) and/orthe temperature of an iron connected electrically to the control panel (78) may be regulated. An insulating cover (96) of foam material (94) the thermal insulation of which reduces very dramatically upon compression is provided over the heated surface of the ironing board platform (12; 76, 77) to provide comfort and safety for a user whilst nevertheless allowing a considerable increase in the rate at which heat can be transmitted into a garment both from above by the iron and from below by the board. When the cover (96) is removed the platform (76, 77) can be converted into a heated platform at a temperature suitable for retaining food warm for serving. A cooperating pressure plate (44; 83) adapted to be fitted to the heated ironing board platform (12; 76, 77) is also provided for performing tasks such as pressing trousers or other garments.

摘要： The invention relates to a portable automatic ironing press for the trousers which comprises two housings (2) comprising each a rectangular pressing ironing plates (3) pivotally mounted on a base (7). The base has a lower horizontal part (8) and at least one lateral vertical part (9) rigidly linked to each other. In the base of the press are located the electronic control bloc, control board and at least one driving gear to guide the tools to open and press the pressing ironing plates (3) and operate the extended shaft (10). The housing (2) include windows (20) through which the lower part of the trousers can be discharged.

The trousers press is characterised in that the hinge connection between the two flat pressing members is constituted by upwardly-open U-shaped resilient clip means, preferably two spring steel U-clips, between the limbs (41) of which the lower ends of the flat pressing members are accommodated with each flat pressing plate secured to a respective resilient limb of the resilient clip means, which resilient limbs flex to provide the required spacing to accommodate the thickness of material of the trousers to be pressed.
As a result of this hinge connection all thicknesses of trousers including, for example, turn-ups (cuffs) and tweeds can be readily catered for.
