摘要： There provided is a configuration in which a completion of a drawing process by a drawing command executed by an application is detected and a conversion process and a display process are performed on an image to which the drawing process is completed. An application execution unit for executing the drawing process and storing a drawing result in a storage unit, a display image generation unit for converting a drawn image in the storage unit, and a buffer management unit for switching a plurality of buffers in the storage unit are included. The app execution unit calls a drawing completion notification application programming interface (API) after drawing based on the drawing command is completed. The buffer management unit switches the buffers in response to the call of an API. The display image generation unit executes the image conversion on the stored image in the buffer which is not the buffer in which drawing is being executed by the app execution unit.

In generating the MP4 file that stores HDR image data, the HDR image metadata is recorded in the MP4 file. An HDR image metadata storage box is set to a trak box or a traf box in the MP4 file, and the HDR image metadata is stored. The reproduction device acquires the HDR image metadata stored in the MP4 file, determines whether executing a conversion process of the HDR image read from the MP4 file according to the acquired metadata and display function information of the display unit, and executes an output image generation process according to a determination result.

摘要： The present technology relates to a display control method, a recording medium, and a display control device with which a subtitle forced display function can be implemented on the basis of TTML (Timed Text Markup Language). TTML data in which predetermined attribute information pertaining to subtitle forced display is described in a tag defining an element of text is used. At a content playback side, control is performed on the basis of the predetermined attribute information in the TTML data, in such a way that characters based on text data designated by the tag in which the attribute information is written are displayed on a display unit regardless of whether a subtitle display setting is ON or OFF. Owing to this kind of configuration, text data serving as a predetermined text element from among text elements (text data serving as subtitles) within the TTML data can be displayed regardless of whether a subtitle display setting is ON or OFF. In other words, a subtitle forced display function can be implemented on the basis of TTML.
